A third settlement window was part of NACHA’s original announcement in May of 2015 , of the unanimous adoption of SDA by all of the FIs in the U.S. When the Fed launched its 500-person Faster Payments Task Force in 2015, it did so as much more than a convener of stakeholders looking to improve the speed at which money moves.
