NACHA Postpones Same-Day ACH Window Due To Fed Board

NACHA, national administrator of the ACH network, said a third processing window for same-day transactions will be postponed for six months until the Federal Reserve Board of Governors (Fed Board) approves the initiative. Because of this, the effective date will be deferred by six months to March 19, 2021.

Last week, NACHA issued an ACH operations bulletin announcing the delay of the rollout of a third Same Day ACH (SDA) processing window by six months, to March 19, 2021. The regulator notified NACHA that they need more time to evaluate required changes to their system before giving it the green light.
