HERNDON, Virginia, March 20, 2024 – Nacha’s Top 50 ranking of financial institution originators and receivers of ACH payments for 2023 was released today. The Top 50 originating institutions had total ACH Network volume of nearly 27.7 of the ACH Network’s total commercial payments volume.

The biggest firms in the nation are gearing up for same day ACH payments – an eventuality that could hit in September of this year. As reported by NACHA, the electronic payments association, the readiness was disclosed in a survey that had been conducted by the association, with the two strongest use cases identified across same day ACH.

NACHA, the payments clearing house through which ACH transactions flow, reported a banner year in 2020, posting an 8.2% increase in volume and a 10.8% Additionally, ACH internet transactions rose 15% from 2019 to 2020.
